2016 Austin Pet Expo marked the 147th expo held since 2009 for Amazing Pet Expos, reaching more than 2 million people to date.
September 2, 2016 (St. Louis, MO) – Amazing Pet Expos, a leading event production company and a national presence in the pet community, announced on September 2nd two significant accomplishments. Marked by the 2016 Austin Pet Expo and Denver Pet Expo, Amazing Pet Expos celebrated both the production of 147 consecutive pet expos in over twenty-three (23) states, as well as total attendance numbers surpassing 2 million pet-lovers since 2009.
“Over two million people have walked through the doors of an Amazing Pet Expo in the past seven years,” says Ethan Barnett, Vice President of Event Production at Amazing Pet Expos, “With this number of people attending our shows, we’ve been able to effectively educate the public on a variety of topics, such as progressive training techniques, pet safety, animal legislation, and veterinary facts. We’ve also continued to provide low-cost vaccinations for pets, free nail trims, and a major mega-adoption area at each of our events. Our shows have reached many major pet communities around the country, and we plan to continue making a difference in both the lives of humans and animals everywhere.”
Earlier this year, Amazing Pet Expos introduced all two-day expos. The extra day for exhibitors and attendees allows producers to build upon current entertainment features and to expand upon the educational initiatives currently taking place. Other recently added features include lure coursing, the State Farm Agility Course, a contest stage, a creature feature, and a bird area (available in select markets), a second stage for pet contests and Internationally Accredited Cat Shows through a relationship with TICA (The International Cat Association) in select markets.
“In adding features such as a Bird Area or a Creature Feature, we have been able to highlight more non-traditional and exotic type pets and to educate potential pet parents as to the right fit for their families. In addition to these types of animals, we have also included areas for bunnies, rats, lizards, chinchilla’s, and wildlife conservation. The Pet Expo is constantly evolving to be more and more inclusive of all pets, not just cats and dogs. “
Upcoming Pet Expo cities are New England, Cleveland, Portland, Tucson, and St. Louis. Find the full schedule at http://www.findyourpetexpo.com.
